BOCA RATON, Fla. - The world's fifth largest country brought the party to Boca Raton on Saturday.
Brazilians are celebrating 191 years of independence this weekend.
Sanborn Square played host to "Brazilian Citizenship Day." There was dancing, music, and Brazilian food making attendees feel they were south of the equator.
"It's a big, big family. It's a big picnic," said organizer Doug Heizer.
"It's good to be here and speak some Portuguese and meet new friends, " said Renata Cunha.
The celebration continues tomorrow with a performance by Cezar Santana at the Spanish River library.
