BOCA RATON, Fla. - Water is slowly draining after a night of heavy rain in southern Palm Beach County.
Since 1 a.m. the area has been mostly rain-free according to the National Weather Service. But heavy rain Friday night flooded streets and some roads were closed.
As a result the National Weather Service issued a flood warning for northeastern Broward County and southern Palm Beach County until 9:45 a.m.
At Military Trail and Clint Moore Road, a vehicle became stalled when water rose to the hood of the car.
Police officers have blocked off Clint Moore Road west of Military Trail.
They are advising drivers to avoid the area.
Several cars became stalled in both Boca Raton and Delray Beach overnight.
