MANALAPAN - Boxing promoter Don King on Tuesday sold his two-home Manalapan estate for $15.95 million — $4 million less than the asking price.

The 41,000-square-foot property, which includes two homes with a total of 14 bedrooms, has 300 feet of direct ocean frontage.

The estate sold in fewer than 45 days and is the highest price paid so far this year in Manalapan, Jack Elkins, an Engel & Volkers real estate agent who represented King, said in a statement.

Elkins said he is bound by a confidentiality clause not to identify the buyer.

King, who turns 80 in August, has offices in Deerfield Beach. His wife, Henrietta, paid $7.8 million and $6.5 million for the two homes in 1999. She died last year.
