DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - A vehicle struck a bank in Delray Beach Monday afternoon injuring at least two people.
Delray Beach police say the vehicle hit the Wells Fargo bank near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Military Trail around 1:15 p.m.
There were 15 to 20 people inside the building at the time.
A woman driver was trying to maneuver into a handicapped spot when she accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake.
She drove through the front door, went all the way inside, and struck a bank employee and customer.
"We found also that there had been two minor injuries that were suffered because of the crash but everyone else in the bank was okay," said Delray Beach Police Sgt. Nicole Guerrero.
The driver, who has not been identified, and a passenger were not hurt.
It's not clear if the bank will be open Tuesday morning
