PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - It has been an emotional five days for the family of Haile Brockington. "It's a lot. It's sad. It's really sad for me," said Cathy Hamilton.
Hamilton is Haile's grandmother. She says that dealing with her granddaughter's death and comforting her daughter and the rest of the family while planning a funeral is overwhelming. The family is still looking for a place large enough to have the services.
"The church that we thought would be okay they are not okay so we have to keep looking until we find a church," said Hamilton.
The Palm Beach County Health Department is working with several agencies investigating Haile's death. She was found inside a transport van.
Haile's grandmother and the family wants to know why they have not heard from the owners of Katie's Kids Learning Center.
"It makes me angry. It's sad, no consideration...you would think you could at least say I'm sorry," said Hamilton.
The family needs help. To assist them with the funeral cost go to any Wachovia Bank and ask to donate to the "Haile Brockington Trust Fund."
The family is looking for a church large enough to accommodate the funeral. Their goal is to have the funeral Friday morning at 11 o'clock.
