Piters Clerfont: Man claims 13-year-old girl blackmailed him into sex, police say

A Boynton Beach man told police he had sex with the 13-year-old girl for one reason – she made him do it.

 

Piters Clerfont, 33, now stands charged with lewd and lascivious battery.

 

The girl, who police have not identified, told detectives she had sex with Clerfont 15-20 times between 2008 and 2010, according to a Delray Beach Police report. Their last encounter was in April 2010, when Clerfont allegedly sneaked into her bedroom.

 

Delray Beach Police had been looking for Clerfont since 2010, but the case stayed inactive for two years, as Clerfont traveled between Haiti and the United States.

 

But police found Clerfont at his home in September, and took him to the police department for questioning.

 

"He stated she threatened him and forced him to have sex with her," an officer wrote in the report. "She told him that if he didn't have sex with her she would tell her parents and the police that he did anyways."

 

Clerfont remained in Palm Beach County Jail Friday without bond.
