Family and friends gathered to say their final goodbyes to Delray Beach firefighter Eric Patrie.
The 36-year-old died Saturday after a year-long battle with cancer.
A funeral service was held at the church of the palms off of Swinton Avenue.
In addition to battling blazes, Patrie was a hazmat technician and dive rescuer.
He is survived by his wife Kim and two young daughters ages 5 and 1.
