DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Music could be taking center court at the Delray Beach Tennis Center.
The Delray Beach City Commission at Tuesday's workshop meeting will consider a proposal from Alliance Media Group Holdings to bring concerts to the tennis venue.
AMG in its letter to the city says that it plans to produce one A-list concert in December this year and at least four shows in 2014 and each year after.
AMG Holdings says that it is a newly formed public company made from representatives from the film and live entertainment industries.
The Delray Beach City Commission will consider an exclusive deal for AMG for four years with two additional three-year extensions based on performance.
The proposed agreement would net the city fees and a percentage of the revenue from the events if it is approved.
AMG says it could schedule its first concert on Dec. 13, 2013 if the city agrees to the contract.
