DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Delray Beach Police detectives released surveillance video from inside a “Community Market” in the 1100 block of West Atlantic Avenue.
The video is from Saturday night, when police say two men armed with handguns robbed the store.
Detectives say the two men, who wore bandanas over their faces, are “brazen” criminals. They say the criminals have no respect for human lives, and their one goal is to “get cash.”
The two opened fire during the robbery, but no one was injured.
On Sunday morning, detectives say the same two men, with bandanas on their faces, also robbed another “Community Market.” This one is located in the 900 block of West Atlantic Avenue.
Detectives say the criminals walked in and opened fire, killing two men. Those men were Reginald Lee Taylor and Alfonso Hunter.
We spoke exclusively with Hunter’s cousin, Martha Leather.
Leather says,"Why would they kill innocent people? Why would you take a life like that? He had children. He was a good person. He didn't deserve that."
Detectives did not release the surveillance video from Sunday’s homicides. They say the video is too graphic to show.
They are asking for help from the public. If you know anything about the crime to call the Delray Beach Police Department or Crime Stoppers. The number for Crime Stoppers is 1(800)458-TIPS.
