DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - A fund raising event was held on Saturday to benefit the family of Delray Beach Police officer Adam Rosenthal who died last February in a one-car crash involving his police cruiser while on duty.
Rosenthal left behind a wife and four kids.
The event took place at Old School Square, 51 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach.
The event began at 8:00 a.m. with a two-hour motorcycle ride honoring the life of Adam Rosenthal. The barbecue was hosted by the Bowman family. There was food, drinks, music and a karate demonstration performed Delray Beach SWAT team.
"The Delray Beach Police Department is going to do a rappelling demo off of the five-story-tall Old School Square Parking Garage," event organizer Nancy Stewart-Franczak said.
Tickets cost $15 per person or $5 for children younger than 10.
