WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A 5-year-old boy is in critical condition after being found floating in a pool in the 200 block of North Ware Drive in West Palm Beach, said Allan Ortman, spokesman for West Palm Beach Fire Rescue.

Paramedics instructed the parents over the phone on how to perform CPR on the boy while rescue units were on their way to them, Ortman said.

The child was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center Pediatric Unit, Ortman said.
