DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - An armed robbery suspect is dead after a shootout inside of a Delray beach convenience store Saturday night, according to Delray Beach Police.
Police responded to Community Food Market, located at 139 N.W. 5th Avenue, just before 10 p.m. in reference to a shooting. Two clerks who were inside of the store told officers that an armed man entered the store and demanded money.
Police say the suspect began firing at one of the store's clerks. Another clerk inside of the store began firing back and the suspect fled from the store.
Police immediately found the suspect on the street near the store, dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Investigators say it is not yet known if this incident is related to an earlier double homicide inside of a West Palm Beach convenience store.
Monday afternoon the shot man was identified as Tyrone Roy Pinkney.
Detectives say the 23 year old man live in Lantana. He was identified through his fingerprints.
