BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- A woman was extricated from her car after an accident early this morning on Interstate 95 in Boynton Beach.
The woman was pulled from her vehicle after it flipped on its nose and landed in the inner southbound lanes around 4 a.m., about half a mile north of the Gateway Boulevard exit.
Boynton Beach Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
Another vehicle -- a white PT Cruiser -- appears to have been involved in the accident, according to FHP. The car sustained some rear-end damage.
The woman was placed into a stretcher and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
FHP is investigating.
