BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - A Palm Beach County family is pleading with the public in hopes of bringing a killer to justice.

53-year-old Vincent Veasey was found gunned down in front of his apartment at 701 Ryder Road on March 12, 2012.

One year later, Boynton Beach detectives say they are working the leads they have and hope someone will remember something about the case.

Relatives gathered outside the Boynton Beach Police department for a news conference Tuesday morning and urged those who may have any information to call detectives.

Family members say  Veasey’s death is ironic because it’s the second relative to be gunned down on the same date 30 years later.

“March 12th is just something about March 12. Because we had a 19-year-old brother, in 1981 on March 12th to be killed by gun violence and then here it is March 12th 2012 and we have another brother, we’ve only lost two brothers and those two were lost on March 12th so that’s pretty tough for us,” said Manzetta Meadows, the victim’s sister.

Police say you can leave an anonymous tip with Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458 TIPS.
