BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - When it comes to race horses, many people think of Lexington, Kentucky.

Now they can think again.

The Fasig-Tipton Florida sale will take place at the Palm Meadows Training Center in Boynton Beach on Thursday

"People realize when they come to Florida for this 2-year-old in training program, they're getting the best of this year's two-year-old crop," says Anna Seitz, who does marketing for the Fasig-Tipton auction. "Hopefully they'll be able to purchase a potential Kentucky Derby winner."

The thoroughbreds have until Thursday to show off their talent.

Many potential buyers bring stop-watches and clock the horses to see how athletic they are.

Thursday's auction is only open to potential buyers. Prices usually range from around $50,000 to $1 million dollars.
