BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Boynton Beach police need your help investigating a shooting late Halloween night.

Officers say around 10:30 p.m. Monday, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the lower back. Police found the victim inside a car on Northeast 13th Avenue, just east of Seacrest Boulevard.

According to reports, the teenager was shot in another vehicle a block away.

"It could possibly have been that his friends put him in the other vehicle to take him to the hospital when we received the call and showed up on scene," says Stephanie Slater, the Public Information Officer for the Boynton Beach Police Department.

Police say they recovered a vehicle with several bullet holes in the side. No arrests have been made.

The teenager is in stable condition at Delray Medical Center. He is expected to survive.
