BOYNTON BEACH, Fla - Suzanne Kraus has been arrested by Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies on charges that she used a prescription pad stolen from an animal hospital to obtain obtain prescription painkillers.
An arrest report issued by PBSO states that Kraus used the name of a dog she used to own to obtain the prescriptions.
Investigators say the prescriptions were made out to "Higgins Canine Kraus" and were for Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen.
Administrators with the Floresta Animal Hospital in Boynton Beach told deputies that the scripts were fraudulent and and prescription pad was stolen.
The arrest report says that Kraus worked at the animal hospital for two years ending in 2012.
Deputies say that while Kraus worked at the animal hospital she reported two burglaries to the facility while she was employed there.
Kraus was confronted by deputies at her current place of employment, an animal hospital in Ft Lauderdale. Kraus told investigators that she took the prescript pads because she needs the a pain medicine and does not have insurance.
Krause was arrested by PBSO and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
