BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- A 72-year-old man riding his bike was struck and killed by a vehicle this morning in Boynton Beach.
The man was hit just north of Pipers Glen Boulevard on Jog Road around 8:49 a.m.
He was taken to Delray Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
He was hit by a silver Lincoln Navigator driven by a woman, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said no criminal charges will be filed, because drugs and alcohol were not involved and she was not traveling at a high speed.
The victim wasn't wearing a helmet, and it is unknown if he was traveling in the bike lane, according to the sheriff's office.
