Man nearly drowned near Beer Can Island

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - A 40-year old man nearly drowned while water skiing near Beer Can Island, just west of the Boynton Beach Inlet.
The person he was with pulled him out of the water and performed CPR.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded a short time later.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Captain Don DeLucia said, "He is semi-conscious right now."
The patient was transported to nearby hospital.
