BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Four men kidnapped & robbed a man in a Publix parking lot in Boynton Beach Tuesday night, according to police.
The victim said he was 'bear hugged' and forced into a silver Pontiac Grand Am after parking his car with his wife at the grocery store located in the 4700 block of Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach.
The victim told police a gun was put to the back of his head as the suspects removed money from his pockets and took his driver's license. According to police, he said the suspects told him they now know where he lives and will kill him if he calls police.
The men then told the victim to get out of the car and fled.
When the suspects' car was out of his sight, the victim ran back to his vehicle and called 911 on his cell phone.
A Boynton Beach police officer spotted the suspects' car as it entered northbound I-95 and got behind their car, according to authorities.
After driving at speeds over 100 mph, the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the median on the exit ramp of I-95 at 6th Avenue, according to an arrest report.
The suspects fled from the car. The driver and the another suspect were quickly taken into custody.
A third suspect was found sitting on the front porch of a home on Sunrise Court. The fourth suspect was found hiding in a shed on Sunrise Court.
Three of the men arrested were identified as Joel Guerrier, 21, Kenson Norzifort, 20 and Timothy Paige, 20. Police are not identifying the fourth suspect because it could compromise other investigations.
"The phenomenal teamwork led to the arrest of four dangerous criminals,"said Stephanie Slater spokeswoman for Boynton Beach Police Department in a written statement.
