BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.--- The city of Boynton Beach has named a permanent police chief.
He's Jeffrey S. Katz, who had held the job on an interim basis.
His appointment became effective today, September 17.
“This has truly been a team effort,” chief Katz said in a statement. “We are excited to have the opportunity to continue on this path to progress.”
The city says chief Katz has 24 years of experience; the last 15 with Boynton Beach.
