BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - City commissioners tonight will hear a report on a workshop held to find the best way to restore and use the historic 1927 high school building - and how to pay for it.
About 40 people participated in the March 26 meeting, run by REG Architects and the IBI Group, hired by the city to plan the renovation.
In a survey completed last month, more than eight in 10 respondents said they wanted the school saved and turned into an active destination. Asked if they favored raising taxes, four in 10 said, "yes, for the right project."
