Five injured in two-vehicle crash near entrance of suburban Boynton Cobblestone Creek neighborhood

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- A two-vehicle collision has left five people injured in suburban western Boynton Beach Sunday night, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The crash happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Lyons Road and Royal Cobblestone Way, close to the entrance of the Cobblestone Creek neighborhood and north of Boynton Beach Boulevard. It resulted in heavy front end damage to at least one of the vehicles, according to Fire Rescue Capt. Albert Borroto.

The ages and genders of the victims was not disclosed, but Borroto said four of the victims were transported to Delray Medical Center's trauma unit by ambulance and one more victim was transported to another local hospital.
