FHP trooper involved in a car accident on I-95

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - A Florida Highway Patrol state trooper was involved in a car accident on I-95 southbound between Hypoluxo Road and Gateway Boulevard.
Emergency dispatchers received the call at approximately 9:45 a.m.
According to FHP, a car was trying to avoid "pellets" on the road and swerved into a Florida Highway Patrol trooper vehicle.
The FHP deputy was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The person in the other vehicle suffered no injuries.
