BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Boynton Beach is bracing for another round of rain Tuesday, after the ground was saturated with nine inches Monday.
At Christa McAuliffe Middle School students were evacuated from portables Monday when rain flooded walkways to and from those classrooms. That sent 400 students into the cafeteria and media center.
Principal Jeff Silverman is keeping a close eye on storms today, after two inches of rain fell Tuesday morning. He says depending on how the weather shapes up, students may again be moved from portable classrooms.
Standing water from Monday storms has receded, but it still covers the main backyard drain.
He carries around a lightning detector to keep tabs on how far away lightning strikes.
