BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- At the Boynton Beach Applebees, it was Monday Night Footbrawl.

The man rooting for the Baltimore Ravens hooted and hollered as his team crushed the Cincinnati Bengals at home, 44-13.

But the Cincinnati fan sitting at the bar evidently didn't appreciate the man's fervor — and promptly punched him in the head, police say.

According to a Boynton Beach police report, officers showed up to the restaurant, at 1530 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., on a battery call.

There, a 32-year-old Boynton Beach man, who identified himself as a Ravens fan, told police he had been watching the game in the bar area when a Bengals fan punched him in the head and left.

The Ravens fan refused medical attention and didn't want to prosecute. The Bengals fan who allegedly punched him was gone when police arrived.

Applebees manager Michael Manley told police the Ravens fan "was very loud and shouting during the game," the report says.

The manager told him to quiet down a few times, "explaining the restaurant was a family establishment," the report says. "The other party had heard enough cackling, struck him and left."
