BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Boynton Beach Police are searching for a bicycle-riding purse-snatcher who is accused of robbing a 62-year-old woman as she left a Publix supermarket on Tuesday morning.

The woman told police that she was walking into the parking lot at 501 Southeast 18th Avenue when a man rode past her on a bike and grabbed her purse from under her left arm, according to police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater.

The victim, who was not injured, screamed for help and a witness unloading a delivery truck tried to follow the suspect but lost him on Federal Highway, police said.

Store security video showed the suspect in Publix prior to the robbery.

Boynton Beach Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect in the surveillance photos to call Det. Chris Crawford at 561-742-6139
