BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Two sisters were arrested Wednesday for an incident in March when they allegedly threw rocks and bricks at a woman and her children as they sat in their car.
Rontearia Hoskins, 19, and Lakeisha Vargas, 23, both of Boynton Beach, were arrested on multiple charges of weapon offense and kidnap.
They are being held in Palm Beach County Jail.
The alleged victim, who was not identified in a Boynton Beach Police arrest report, called police March 10 from her grandmother's home.
She said she was driving her grey Ford Escort around 12:48 p.m. north on Northwest 4th Street and Northwest 11th Avenue.
With her in the Ford were her two children ages 5 and 3, the report said.
She told police that she was cut off by a red Dodge Minivan and was forced to stop in the middle of the road. Then a black Jeep came up behind her Ford.
Hoskins and Vargas got out of the Minivan and hurled bricks and rocks at the Ford causing the children to scream and cry in fear, the report said.
The woman was finally able to move her vehicle and drove to her grandmother's house.
She brought the Ford to the police station Wednesday to show the damage from the rocks and bricks. While at the station she identified the defendants from a photo line-up, the report said.
