BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- Boynton Beach police are looking for a woman who they say is stealing video game controllers from area retailers.
Surveillance video from Sept. 28 shows a woman taking two controllers out of its packaging and putting the items into her purse at the Best Buy on 550 N. Congress Avenue, according to a police report.
Authorities also believe the woman the same person who stole two Xbox controllers and two PlayStation 3 controllers from the same Best Buy on Sept 24. That incident was not captured on surveillance video.
A loss prevention officer told police that after both thefts, he found empty controller packaging left behind boxes on a shelf in the 'Personal Computer' section of the store.
According to police, the woman is also suspected of stealing a PlayStation 3 controller from Target stores in Delray Beach and suburban Boca Raton.
