One after another, cars turned off the southbound exit ramp of 95 onto westbound Gateway Boulevard.
But many drivers got tired of waiting in the long line to turn right, instead using the left-turn lane as an additional right-turn lane.
One after another, Boynton Beach Police pulled them over.
Officers set up an aggressive driving detail at the busy intersection after receiving dozens of complaints on their Twitter and Facebook pages.
The comments were all the same, Gateway and 95 is a dangerous intersection.
Police say their traffic crash data backs up those comments, the intersection is one of the top five most dangerous in the city.
Officers wrote more than 100 tickets in a three-hour period Thursday afternoon.
They plan to return to the intersection Friday afternoon. Officers will also be monitoring the HOV lane on 95.
The state provides grants to pay for these aggressive driving details. More are scheduled through the end of September.
