— Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who used fake money to buy gift cards from a local Walmart.

Around 11 a.m. Nov. 16, a black male between 25 and 30 years old, made six different purchases at the Walmart at 3625 S. Federal Highway, said Boynton Beach Police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater in a news release.

The man, who is about 6-foot-1 and about 170 pounds, made the purchases using counterfeit $100 bills. He purchased more than $2,000 worth of gift cards, Slater said.

The man police are looking for has a black beard and mustache. The day of the purchases, he was wearing a green tank top, camouflage shorts, green sneakers and a green belt. He was also wearing a green baseball hat with a white logo.
