BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Police say a 42-year-old Boynton Beach man has been killed in a boating accident on one of upstate New York's Finger Lakes.

The Schuyler County Sheriff's Office tells local media outlets that the boat was traveling south on Seneca Lake late Saturday night when it hit a break wall along the lake's southern end near the village of Watkins Glen, 60 miles southwest of Syracuse.

Deputies say Michael Tangye (TAN'-jee) of Boynton Beach was killed.

They say 24-year-old Ashley Kay of Orlando Park, Ill., and 25-year-old Joseph Hager were in stable condition at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Hager's hometown wasn't available.

Police aren't saying if they suspect alcohol played a role in the crash.

The investigation into the accident is continuing.
