BOYNTON BEACH — Starting Monday, patrons of the city library will be able to download e-books from its website.
The library has joined with 12 other libraries and the Southeast Florida Library Information Network and OverDrive, a digital distributor of e-books, audiobooks, music and video. Nearly 500 items will be available, with more added monthly, the library said in a release.
The service is free for patrons with library cards in good standing. Users will need to install free software. At the end of the standard 2-week lending period, e-book files will automatically be erased from devices.
Call the library at (561) 742-6390. Web page: www.boyntonlibrary.org .
