BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - The city manager of Boynton Beach resigned on Tuesday morning.

Kurt Bressner held the city manager position for 11 years.

According to an email sent by the city,  Bressner submitted his resignation on Tuesday morning.  

The statement released by the city said Bressner "believes that his goals at the city have been largely accomplished."

He also said that his decision to leave the was not easy.

“There are other personal goals that I want to accomplish,” he said, “and the timing seems just right for me and my family.”

Bressner's last day on the job will be June 15th.
