BOYNTON BEACH — A man woke up this morning to find a burglar fast asleep on the floor of his apartment, police said.

The man, whose name wasn't made public, told Boynton Beach Police he stumbled on the intruder about 10 a.m. He said he woke the burglar and talked him into stepping out of the apartment, at 13 Southern Cross Circle, and then slammed and locked the door.

The intruder, later identified as Wilkenson Pandol, 28, threw himself against the door, banging on it so hard that he dented it, until the police showed up and arrested him. In his pocket they found a key to the man's apartment.

He was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, according to a Boynton Beach police bulletin, but jail records show he had yet to be booked by 3:30 p.m
