Boynton Beach police are looking for a man suspected of trying to rob a bank on New Year's Eve and are asking for the public’s help.
A police spokeswoman said the man attempted to rob a Bank Atlantic branch at 100 N. Congress Avenue.
He told a teller that he needed a withdrawal slip and then wrote “robbery 100’s and 50’s” on the slip and handed it to the teller, according to a police spokeswoman.
After the teller said she had to walk over to the drive-thru area to get the money drawer, he left.
The suspect is white, in his early 30s, about 6-feet-tall, with a medium build, and short dark hair. Police also say he has a distinct body odor, bloodshot eyes and a mole on the side of his nose.
If you have any information you are urged to call Detective Midian Diaz at 561-742-6113 or Sgt. Frank Ranzie at 561-742-6132 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800-458-TIPS.
