BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Some students attending Freedom Shores Elementary School in Boynton Beach might be talking about more than reading, writing and arithmetic today.

A teacher spotted a 7 foot alligator walking back and forth near an exterior fence at the school around 7:15 a.m.

The principal was told and both school police and Boynton Beach police were contacted.

As a precaution a trapper was called and he removed the reptile without incident.
