BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - The Boynton Beach Police Department is giving a 30-day warning to drivers who run red lights. A new red light camera is operational and soon tickets will be handed out.
A 30-day warning period began Friday for a new red light camera that was placed at the intersection of West Woolbright Road and Southwest 8th Street/Corporate Drive.
The camera is operational at all hours of the day to capture still images and videos of every vehicle that runs the light when it's red. If a driver runs the light during the next 30 days, a warning notice will be issued to the registered owner of the vehicle.
After the warning period, tickets will be sent out for $158.
