5-vehicle crash in Boynton Beach, eastbound on Gateway Boulevard, one person taken to hospital

BOYNTON BEACH - A five-vehicle accident caused slight delays for Boynton Beach commuters heading eastbound on Gateway Boulevard this morning. 

Boynton Beach Fire Rescue crews were dispatched at 8:03 a.m. to Gateway just east of High Ridge Road.

Rescue and police crews are blocking off two of the three lanes on the eastbound side of the Interstate 95 overpass as they investigate the crash.

One person has been taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and a second person was being treated on scene, according to a fire-rescue worker at the scene.

Although the crash initially involved five vehicles, the driver of one vehicle left the scene unharmed and with little-to-no damage to their vehicle, the fire-rescue worker said.
