BOCA RATON, Fla. - Two overnight injury accidents, both on I-95, tied up traffic early Wednesday morning. A Broward County Sheriff Deputy was involved in one of the accidents that had lanes shut down for many of the overnight hours at I-95 and Congress Avenue.

Florida Highway Patrol says the deputy involved, is okay. Apparently he was in an unmarked car. The two car accident happened around 1:30 a.m. FHP says it was a roll over accident, causing one car to catch fire, and the other to hit the overpass wall.

One person was trauma alerted to Delray Medical Center.  No word on his or her condition at this time. Police are still investigating.

And just one hour earlier, just south of Palmetto Park Road, also on I-95 going northbound there was another accident. FHP says a tow truck driver was hit while assisting a car in need.

Two people were trauma alerted to local hospitals. One person was taken to Boca Raton Regional Hospital and one person was taken to Delray Medical Center. No word on their conditions.

FHP says one person had to be extracted from his or her car.

All lanes were shut down for a period of time overnight. DOT and FHP are also investigating the cause of this crash.
