Swat team responds to Boca Raton home after man threatens to harm himself, ends peacefully

BOCA RATON, Fla. - UPDATE: The man who had barricaded himself in a home in Boca Raton is now in police custody.
EARLIER STORY:
A swat team has responded to a home in Boca Raton near St Andrews Boulevard and Potomac Road after a report of a man threatening to harm himself.
The man has barricaded himself inside the residence.
The house is in the New Floresta neighborhood and some nearby homes are being evacuated as a precaution, according to police.
Officers are urging people to avoid the area.
