Crews were at the scene of a single-family house fire in Boca Raton this morning.
Two adults who live at a home at 890 East Palm Avenue told fire rescue crews that, before a blaze broke out around 10 a.m., they heard what sounded like an explosion in the pantry, which has paint and aerosol cans inside.
When they went to see what it was, they said they heard a second "explosion."
They told crews smoke began pouring out from pantry, so they evacuated.
Officials said the fire appears to have started in the pantry area, but the cause is still under investigation.
FPL is on scene checking utilities to see if that ignited fire.
Two blocks of Palm Avenue west of Ocean Avenue were temporarily closed.
All gas and power lines were shut off by rescue crews.
Officials said there was no actual explosion and all of the pets and people are out safely and uninjured.
