Person dies after being ejected from vehicle on Florida’s Turnpike near Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, Fla. - A person was killed after being ejected from a vehicle Saturday evening on Florida’s Turnpike by Boca Raton, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The person, whose name and gender have not been released, was found on the ground and was airlifted to Delray Medical Center in critical condition, said Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. The person later died at the hospital, FHP said.

The accident happened around 7:17 on the northbound lanes of the Turnpike by mile marker 79 near Boca Raton.
