Palm Beach County Mosquito Control will take to the air today to combat pesky pests.
Recent rains and winds have allowed certain mosquito populations to ramp up across Palm Beach County and other areas. Helicopters will spray 270,000 acres of Western Palm Beach County from Boca to Jupiter west of Military Trail, and in the Glades.
There are 35 types of mosquitoes in Palm Beach County alone. The spray does not kill all kinds of mosquitoes.
