Man loses control of his truck and crashes into a light pole

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- A truck driver lost control of his vehicle Sunday, prompting his car to spin off the road and into a light pole in Boca Raton. 

Palm Beach County deputies said the driver was heading eastbound on Palmetto Park Road when he swerved over several lanes at about 1 p.m.

Roads were shut down on Palmetto Park Road at both Military and Powerline roads.

FPL crews were forced to shut off the power to the line.

Officials said the driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and is expected to be ok.
