Lynn University prepares for presidential debate

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The big day in Boca Raton is only two weeks away.

The presidential election could hinge on how the two candidates perform when they debate at Lynn University on October 22.

There are gates all over campus as the tiny school prepares to host 2,500 media members, campaign staff and the candidates themselves.

Much of the area around the Wold Performing Arts Center has been closed off as media risers have been built and parking areas for satellite trucks cleared away.

But maybe the most difficult undertaking is something you can't see. That's the IT setup that has been built.

Wireless internet, TV cables and other infrastructure to support thousands of guests is done and ready to be inspected by the Commission on Presidential Debates.

"We have to be ready to welcome them. As soon as they arrive, they're going to be hooking up, their power, their IT, they're going to be hungry, they're going to need to know where their workstations are, they're going to show up at once, about 72 hours ahead of our debate," said Joshua Glanzer, a Lynn U. Spokesperson

Inside the performing arts center, most of the advance work has been finished as well.

The debate stage, the seating and the camera positions are all worked out and closed off to security.
