The police tape is now down around Congressman Allen West's office near the 2000 block North Federal Highway.
A letter containing some kind of white, powdery substance was opened inside Friday afternoon.
Investigators say that the powder is NOT a hazardous substance.
Police and fire crews, including HazMat teams, along with the FBI responded to the scene.
It hasn't been determined exactly what kind of substance was inside the letter opened in the office... but investigators say it was not anthrax or anything of a hazardous nature.
"All the agencies that are involved, it's a very serious mode we're in so we have to assume the worst and hope for the best," said Boca Raton Fire Rescue spokesman Frank Correggio.
One woman was in the office at the time of the discovery but she is fine.
She was the one who called 911 to report the incident which appears to be a hoax
Detectives are looking into why the letter was sent and who may have sent it.
