LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A 29-year-old Lake Worth man died Friday after being run over by a tractor trailer in Boca Raton.
Daniel Wilson was riding a motorcycle southbound on Congress Avenue around 5:30 p.m. when he approached the right side of a tractor with a boxed trailer that was stopped for traffic just north of the Yamato Road intersection. according to a Boca Raton Police Department media release.
According to the release, Wilson stopped his motorcycle at the front right corner of the trailer and, as traffic began to move forward, the front of the tractor collided with the motorcycle, pushing it forward and ejecting Wilson. Wilson was then run over by the tractor’s right tires. He was taken to Delray Medical Center, where he died shortly afterwards.
The driver of the tractor, 39-year-old Edouard Jean-Pierre, of North Lauderdale, was not injured.
