HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- The FBI has captured a man they say is responsible for up to eight bank robberies in South Florida.

Richard Bystricky, 49, of Cleveland, Ohio, was arrested Saturday around 6 p.m. without incident by members of the South Florida Violent Crime/Fugitive Task Force and the Hollywood Police Department, according to John V. Gillies, a special agent in charge a the FBI Miami Field office.

Agents said Bystricky's last heist was Friday afternoon at a TD Bank branch in Boca Raton.

The other seven robberies, which started in late December, took place at banks in Hollywood, Davie, Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. The FBI did not say how much money was taken.

Gillies said Bystricky is expected to face federal charges.
