Daniel Wilson: Identified as motorcyclist killed in accident with tractor trailer

Boca Raton Police identified Daniel Wilson, 29, of Lake Worth as the victim killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and tractor trailer. 

Police say the accident happened Friday just after 5 p.m. on Congress Avenue just north of Yamato Road.

39-year-old Edouard Jean-Pierre of North Lauderdale was behind the wheel of a 2004 Sterling tractor with a boxed trailer that was stopped for traffic in the southbound lanes of Congress Avenue.

Wilson was on a 2008 Zhejiang motorcycle when he too stopped for traffic at the front right corner of the truck.

When traffic began to move forward the tractor smashed into the motorcycle and ejected Wilson.

That's when the tractor's right tires ran over him.

Wilson was transported to Delray Medical Center where he died. 

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
